Typography
The following typefaces are authorized for use in university signage and business systems. In addition, they are recommended for use in publications and other communication documents, whenever appropriate.
Serif Family
Perpetua and Perpetua Titling in regular, italic, and bold can be used for headlines, text, and address blocks.
Sans Serif Family
Frutiger in roman, italic, bold, bold italic, and black can be used in headlines, subheads, and text to complement the Perpetua typeface.
Logo and Signature
University Logo
The sunburst logo (shown below) was introduced in 1995, replacing all other pre-existing logos for the university. The logo is made up of a sun icon that is incorporated into the 3 letter forms (A, S, and U) and provides a strong and recognizable graphic image of ASU's mission and purpose.
University Word Mark
Graphic Elements
The registered trademarks and official colors and fonts of the university comprise the graphic elements used to support the ASU brand. Each element strengthens the ability of the university to communicate its mission and message, as well as provides a visual relationship between our audiences and everything ASU.
